REASONS FOR JOINING
OUR RESPONSIBILITY
SPV is responsible for managing waste from non-reusable packaging on behalf of packers, fillers and importers using the Integrated Packaging Waste Management System. SPV's work enables everyone to obey the law and avoid legal penalties while also contributing to a better environment.
REASONS TO JOIN
Joining the Green Dot system more economically advantageous than creating your own management system for your non-reusable packaging placed on the Portuguese market.
The specific legislation on the management of packaging and packaging waste (1) states that it is compulsory for packers, fillers and importers to ensure the existence of a properly licensed waste management system in which packaged products placed on the Portuguese market are recycled after use or, alternatively, to transfer this responsibility to a duly licensed body. This is the case of Sociedade Ponto Verde, which is licensed to manage non-reusable packaging waste and ensure that it is sent for recovery and recycling, thereby continuing its useful life.

(1) Decree-Law 152-D/2017
