Sociedade Ponto Verde and Editora Principia have got together to give an award to the best original work on the environment and sustainability. If you have a talent for writing and are inspired by the environment, you have until 14 June to submit your entry.

The 'Sociedade Ponto Verde GPA Award for the Best Original Written Work' was introduced in the Sixth Green Project Awards and is designed to identify, recognise and guarantee publication of high-quality works in Portuguese. This award will allow the publication of works that might not otherwise be published, in spite of their importance to sustainable development.

In addition to academic essays, academic and scientific monographs, such as doctoral and master's theses, and other original works on the environment and sustainability can be submitted.

The winner, whose name will be announced at the Green Project Awards prize-giving ceremony in September, will win €2,500 and his or her work will be published by the Principia publishing company.
