The three winners of the Recicl’arte competition have been chosen. The competition was designed to find original, creative images for the three bags for separating used household packaging, called ecobags. The Sociedade Ponto Verde (SPV) initiative received more than 150 entries.

The winners were chosen by the fans of the SPV Facebook page from among the five finalists selected by the judges. Pedro Miguel Guerreiro\'s image got 411 votes, winning him first place, followed by Jorge Ferrão in second and Catarina Bernardo in third.

The winning entries were inspired by recycling to create an image for the ecobags based on the separation rules: green for glass, blue for paper and cardboard and yellow for plastic, metal and drink cartons.

\"I\'m very pleased with the recognition of my work. I hope my image will help people think about what they can do for the environment and increase recycling in Portugal,\" said Pedro Miguel Guerreiro.

The fact that they don\'t have proper containers for separating used packaging at home is the argument that people use most for not sorting waste at home, according to studies in recent years. This is why Sociedade Ponto Verde used this competition to promote the development of equipment to fill this gap.

It would be possible to fill more than 1,000,000 ecobags in only one day with the packaging that is sent to Sociedade Ponto Verde for recycling every day.
