Fenix Project debates life cycle assessment in waste management

The workshop to be held in Lisbon on 19 June will be revealing some of the advances in waste management life cycle assessment as part of the European project, FENIX – Giving Packaging a New Life.

The workshop on methodological advances in waste management life cycle assessment will present the FENIX project as an example of the inclusion of the life cycle aspect in decision-making on packaging waste management.

The initiative will also show the latest advances in the project, such as waste collection, transfer and incineration models, and encourage discussion and sharing of knowledge and experiences among experts in life cycle assessment in Spain and Portugal.

The FENIX Project is the work of four European experts in the areas of sustainable development, packaging waste management and life cycle assessment. The project consortium includes Ecoembes (Spain), Sociedade Ponto Verde (Portugal), Grupo de Investigación en Gestión Ambiental de la Escuela Superior de Comercio Internacional (Spain) and PE International (Germany).

Participation in the workshop is free of charge.
