- Beginning today, people can now choose the winner of the second "Recicl’arte" competition.

The winning image most voted by the Sociedade Ponto Verde Facebook page fans will be chosen from among the five best entries to decorate the three bags in the ecobag collection for selective separation of packaging.

The entrants, who were selected from more than 150 entries, were inspired by recycling to create an image for ecobags based on the separation rules: green for glass, blue for paper and cardboard and yellow for plastic, metal and drink cartons.

"The fact that they don't have proper containers for separating used packaging at home is the argument that people use most for not sorting waste. The idea of this competition was to develop equipment to fill this gap and also involve the public in creativity and the choice of the ecobags that will come into their homes," explained Luís Veiga Martins, Managing Director of Sociedade Ponto Verde.

It would be possible to fill more than 1,000,000 ecobags in only one day with the packaging that is sent to Sociedade Ponto Verde for recycling every day.

The winner will receive a €2,500 gift voucher and the first and second runners-up will win €1,000 and €500 vouchers respectively.
